my new obsession

I know I'm always damn-the-man-save-the-empire about Starbucks-- and I stick to my crappy over-priced coffee opinion-- but sometimes when I'm traveling, I have slim to zero choices in the non-starbucks coffee genre, and since I'd rather pull my eyeballs out that go without, meet my new obsession:

OH.

MY.

GAH.

Really? Caffeine doesn't do anything like that to me. I wish!!

Incidentally, espresso doesn't have THAT much caffeine in it; it's just more concentrated. A shot (1 oz) of espresso has 80-100 mg of caffeine, whereas a cup of brewed coffee can have up to 300mg, depending on its strength, so a Starbucks double-shot latte is far less caffeine intake than a regular drip of the same size.

Love, your own vat of useless knowledge.

Fewer calories- more caffeine. My kinda drink.

Coffee... I'll never understand. *sigh*

oh, Nerissa. my heart BLEEDS for you. I mean, I can totally understand people hating some stuff I love, like fish, or tomatoes, etc. But I will never, ever understand, as long as I live, someone not liking the taste of coffee.

Do you like the smell??

...or fish AND tomatoes!

*snort*

yes, jamie, I do like the smell but I can't get past the taste. I never really thought I was missing out on anything. I think some people wonder how anyone could go through university without a reliance on coffee or beer. Well, I did. Got my caffiene from chocolate ;-)

You are a heartless one for posting such temptation! I've looked everywhere for this stuff, apparently nobody in my area carries it. Gah!
